Comedian and broadcaster Susan Calman has been announced as the new charity ambassador for Target Ovarian Cancer after appearing twice in the charity's Loving Linda comedy gala, in aid of comedian Linda Smith who died of ovarian cancer in 2006.

Calman commented 'I knew nothing about ovarian cancer before being involved with Target Ovarian Cancer. After doing the show, I learnt about the symptoms and made sure all my family and friends knew them too. I'm delighted to now be an ambassador'.
